Endometriosis Awareness Month 2021

Dearest Endo Warriors,

As friends, supporters, marchers, fundraisers and true warriors aligned with our nonprofit we wanted to formally notify you of a change for this year. First and foremost, the Minnesota Endo Warriors nonprofit is not dissolving or disbanding. We have no intention of “quitting” in our efforts of advocacy but we have been forced over the last several months to take a step back.

As you all understand, navigating the ever-changing landscape of nonprofit fundraising and events though Covid19 is enough to be someone’s full time job. As a small board of 3 volunteer members we are facing career, distance learning, daycare, personal health/loss challenges that are not unique to those you all are facing. Trying to plan a large-scale public event like the 2021 Minnesota Endo March has proven to be one of little to no certainty, extreme expense, and vast safety concerns. Until we know more or better understand the climate of the pandemic this summer, we have scaled back our efforts with a focus on supporting those in the endometriosis community via our online (facebook) support group only.

We know this will be disappointing and we wish there was a way to ensure an event where we could safely gather. We have renewed our vendor contracts for 2022 with the sincerest hopes for our largest gathering yet!

March holds a special place for our organization and our community as we all step forward to share our stories and educate others. We’ve gathered virtual events for you to explore below and encourage you to share others in the comments.

  • Sunday, March 14, 2021 3-5pm EST- Writing Workshop
  • March 1-14th – Mind, Body, & Soul Wellness Challenge
  • March 5-7th – The Endometriosis Summit “One Voice”
  • March 6-10th – 14th World Congress on Endometriosis
    • Hosted by:  World Endometriosis Society for the medical community
    • Cost: $100-500+ depending on ticket choice

  • March 9th – Exploring the Myths of Endometriosis
  • March 15-31st – March Into Awareness
  • March 19-21st – Our Table – Advocate & Allies Conference
  • March 19-21st – International Patient Conference
  • March 27th – Minneapolis Bridge Lighting
    • City of Minneapolis
    • Cost: Free
    • The 35W and Lowry Bridges will be lit yellow for endometriosis awareness month. This lighting aligns with the city’s support for Endometriosis Awareness month and annually marks the MN Endo March. Although we will not be marching this year we are eager to see the bridge lit in honor of all endo warriors.
