What’s the Minnesota Endo Brunch?
Glad you asked! To accommodate the growing number of attendees and to continue to provide an expert Q&A panel, this year’s event has been split into two parts: 1) a ticketed brunch, and 2) an outdoor Endo Fair and March.
The brunch will accommodate a limited number of paid guests for a plated meal at the Minnesota History Center during the endometriosis expert Q&A session. Two tiers of tickets for the D’Amico catered brunch will be available with VIP tickets including a swag bag and preferred seating. After the brunch concludes, all attendees have the opportunity to walk or drive down to the lower mall at the capitol to participate in the March. Purchase your brunch tickets here.
Purchase TicketsWhat will the Endo Fair include?
This year’s pre-march celebration will feature a photo booth and the chance to buy limited edition MN Endo Warriors Love Your Melon hats, tumblers/thermoses and canvas bags. Additionally, local endometriosis and fertility specialists and their clinics will be available to meet warriors, answer questions, and provide resources.
Can I make a sign?
Yes, please!! Signs can be as simple or as elaborate as you’d like. We will be hosting a poster-making party on Tuesday March 24th from 6-8 pm at the Penn Lake Library in lieu of an in-person support group. Please bring partners, family, friends, caregivers, and supplies for poster-making! Don’t forget to register to attend the poster-making party here.
What should I wear?
March in Minnesota can range from freezing blizzards to tropical 80’s – be sure to check the local weather in the week leading up to the march to dress appropriately. We recommend layers, comfortable weather-appropriate shoes or boots, hand warmers, and, of course, this year’s Limited Edition 2020 Endo Warriors Endo March shirts (available in short and long sleeves) and sweatshirts. This apparel will be pre-order ONLY so don’t forget to order here by March 5th!
Who can I bring and is the event child-friendly?
Feel free to bring anyone! This is a family-friendly event and all are welcome to attend (Register HERE for free!)
Am I able to bring my dog?
Please bring any furry friend that’s leash-trained! Since this year’s event is outdoors, we welcome pets to the Endo Fair and our march to the Capitol (yay!). We’d love to see photos of your furry friends on social media too! Please use #MNEndoPet
How long is the route?
The march will begin in the center of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between the upper and lower malls in front of the Capitol, and head east to Cedar Street. We will then turn left to head north on Cedar Street before finally turning left again (west) and ending on the Capitol steps. In total, the March length is around 1/4 mile.
I don’t feel comfortable chanting during the march, are there other ways for me to participate?
Absolutely! One of the MN Endo Warriors main goals is to create a positive space and be as inclusive as possible. Any messages chanted this year will again have a positive and empowering focus. That being said, chanting isn’t for everyone regardless of message or intent. Please consider marching with the group in silence or state any message you wish to portray on a sign/poster board. Join us for the March in-person support group and poster making party to meet more warriors and prepare your poster!
What happens after the march?
This year’s event ends on the Capitol steps after the march. Please feel free to join endo warriors in solidarity that evening for the 35W bridge lighting and/or the Lowry Avenue Bridge lighting yellow for endo at sunset!
