Yesterday the 2nd Annual Minnesota Endo March in association the Worldwide EndoMarch was a dream come true for the Minnesota Endo Warriors and hopefully everyone who attended. Endo warriors came from across the state to march for awareness, better medical care and ultimately a cure. Together with their families and friends over 100 marchers banded together and celebrated #EndometriosisAwarenessDay as proclaimed by Governor Mark Dayton and Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis. Its great to see the march grow by 3 times since last year and it is only going to continue to grow! “Endo – Warriors” and “10 Years – Is too long – Diagnose Us – Let’s Move On” rang through the city and across the Stone Arch bridge. Special guests Miss Minnesota USA Kalie Wright and Miss Minnesota Teen USA Peyton Schroeder added extra sparkle to the event and left feeling empowered and eager to keep the conversations around endometriosis going.
After marching in the brisk 40-degree weather the MN Endo Warriors hosted a post-march celebration at Alchemy Northeast with food, drinks, a photo booth, question and answer session with endometriosis and excision specialist Dr. Matthew Palmer of Oakdale ObGyn and prize giveaways. Thanks to generous sponsors the party was free to attend and enjoyed by warriors young and old. Presenting sponsor Oakdale ObGyn even provided a fun photo booth prop, an angry uterus. We’ve received the below sampling of images from the talented team at Flow Event Group and will share more as they arrive.
